Christine Arida is a Cairo-based Egyptian engineer and artist, with an art career in photography, painting and visual arts. Inspired by her local surroundings, she creates artwork using a modern and expressive abstract approach, most notably focusing on fostering cultural identity and empowering women through art. In 2021, her work was selected by UNESCO, to represent Egypt at the Creative Resilience exhibition in Paris and Dubai. As an appointed member of the Supreme Council for Culture, Arida believes art is a journey of continuous innovation without boundaries.
